Which bothered me since the upper and lower were supposedly a matched set. I had a lot of play between my upper and lower. They are high quality and I liked the finish better so I used them. Turns out they are the exact same size as my original pins. I had a tiny, tiny bit of play between my receivers. 4 Exact same size as my Seekins Precision pins.

The pins are really nice, just not quite enough for my particular rifle, though I don' t know if any sized pin would have solved my issue. I threw in some X-shims as well and now it perfect. It helped some, but didn' t fully eliminate it. Perfect for the shooting enthusiast with a variety. I bought these to take out the slop between my Spikes lower and BCM upper. These takedown pins have over sized heads to make separating the upper and lower receiver faster and easier. Improves fit between upper and lower from various manufacturers. The standard that should be used in all your AR builds. They didn' t quite take out all of the wiggle in my upper and lower, but they' re definitely better quality than the ones I had before, and they' re alot tighter overall, so they' re staying in my rifle even after I used other methods to fix my problem. Also, Griffin processed the order very fast and I had the order in 4 days. Upon getting these from Griffin I installed them and they were PERFECT.įrom now on I plan on using these pins on all my builds. Before ordering these I tried 3 or 4 other brands I already had however they did not improve the somewhat loose fit. I bought these little magical pins to reduce the play from the rear takedown pin hole on a Griffin lower receiver. Ordered these pins, the front didn’t seem any different but the rear pin did seem tighter and eliminated movement. My new build had a slight bit of movement.

I believed these are 2-3 thousand more of an inch compare to a mil spec take down pins. These are the takedown pins you need when you have a wobbly lower and upper receiver. Published by Richard Rabo on 13th May 2022
